Foster momma Suze is taking me home for Thanksgiving!
Her hubby is going out of town and she was gonna be all alone. She was very sad so I told her that I would come spend the weekend with her.
I’m very excited – if you stop by my kennel you’ll see me do a little happy dance!
Momma says there’s gonna be lots of hard work – we’re gonna go on walks, work on my licker problem (why does she keep calling it a “problem”?), and learn some cool manners like “sit” and “stay.” She says if I’m really good she’ll take me on a special walk with her friend R. Personally I think that all sounds more like fun than work.
We’ll go back to the shelter the day after Thanksgiving for the big Black Friday Adoption Event. Everyone at the shelter has an adoption fee of only $25.00 – even me. Momma thinks we should stand out front as the welcome ambassadors – I’m just hoping it’s my lucky day and I find my forever family. How cool to think that Friday night I could be sleeping in my own bed, hanging out with my people!!
But, if not, Momma says we’re gonna spend Saturday and Sunday snoozing and studying my manners. Either way, I’m thankful for what Thanksgiving is bringing me.
